Health Care and the 2008 Presidential Election

I’d like to welcome another contributing author, Jane Pomponio. Jane had written her own blog for us, but then started pursuing an advanced degree and had to dedicate her time towards her studies. We are excited and privileged to have her once her supplying her knowledge and energy!

Election Day is right around the corner! Do you know what position the candidates have taken on health care issues? Health care costs for both the individual and the employer have been steadily rising. Most important, the health of our nation is declining due to the prevalence of chronic disease. The lack of insurance coverage and the lack of health education will only make matters worse. If you don’t know what position our presidential candidates have taken on health care, it is time to find out.
