Health Is Wealth

To get rich, never risk your health. For it is the truth that health is the wealth of wealth.

According to Richard Baker, American Congressman.

As the economy is going through its fluctuation, it is the time to pay attention to where you are putting your discretionary dollars. Your money should go towards your top priorities and you should leave out the “nice things to have”. I’ve heard a great deal of tips from many different sources about how to do this. Many of them lay siege to items that can impact your health and fitness.

I understand the concerns and fear that come as a part of a slow economy, but how can you put your health as a non-essential? In today’s society, with ever increasing rates for chronic disease and more people being sedentary, physical activity seems to be losing it’s value. We have the scientific evidence, ancient wisdom, and documented case studies to prove that exercise, good nutrition, and stress management keep you at an optimal level of health, and yet it still seems to always get put to the back burner.

Being healthy can cost you money…BUT not nearly the cost that will have pay if you develop a chronic disease. Time, money, frustration, and emotional pain is the debt you will have to pay.

I encourage you to look at your costs and make a plan to cut back on all the expenses you can. You should also be reviewing your investments and develop a long-range plan to yield the most return. Your health would be one of these investments. What is your long-term plan and how will you get there?
